Steve Krugg's Don't Make Me Think:Response
According to Steve Krug's "Don't Make Me Think," the Chapter is the most important takeaway in making a website. He explains how websites are self-evident, meaning it shouldn't take people to think about what kind of website they are on or where they even go once on it. It should all be straightforward and user-friendly.
A website that I think could be challenging for users to use is Earth Cafe. When first going on the website, typically people would go to see what they serve. When you hit "order online," it takes a few more clicks after that to actually see the full menu. It presents menu highlights before, but doesn't provide photos of the said food, and doesn't present a description til you click onto it and scroll. I think this could be troubling and take viewers away from the website.

A website that succeeds in offering a menu compared to Earth is ALMOKA, which is also a cafe. First user experience as someone looking at their menu, the first thing that popped up was their menu on the main screen, and it presents their specials with photos. It also takes you to the full menu once you click on a section of specials. This took only 2 clicks in my opinion, which is a positive in making a user-friendly website.
